And in 2022 the pride month returns in its 3rd iteration. Pridemonth at HSG is an exciting annual event celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. Taking place over four weeks in October, we offer a range of diverse and inclusive events to promote equality, acceptance, and love. The last Pridemonth featured nine fantastic events, including three sex education days, a lively drag show, and a fun cocktail and networking event with P&G. It is organized by a engaged team outside unigay that changes every year and doesnt take place in june because we students have exams then ;) Come out and join us to learn, engage, and celebrate together!

For the first time in the history of the University of St.Gallen we celebrated a Pride Month. The Pride Month @HSG was initiated by four students (Carmen Jeanguenat, Alexander Köhne Godoy, Andreas Oberholzer, Rebecca Wirbel) and strongly supported by Unigay, HSG's President's Board and various parts of the HSG administration.
What are our goals with the Pride Month @HSG?
Firstly, it is our main aim to make diversity visible. We are constantly surrounded by grey concrete and are all studying some sort of business related subjects - sometimes people forget that the HSG doesn't only consist of white, cis-male, heterosexual people. Secondly, we want to raise awareness for the topics of gender identity and sexual orientation. Being aware of diversity dimensions is crucial for everyone to create inclusive, high-performing teams. We want that everyone contributes to a culture in which nobody during the lunch break has to fear talking about the weekend with one's same-sex partner. Thirdly, we encourage everyone to be their authentic self. Realising that one has a gender identity or sexual orientation that does not fit into the heteronormative frame and eventually coming out to others can be very stressful. The Pride Month @HSG should be a strong sign of support for those struggling right now.
From 6th to 23rd October we made sure that you could see rainbows all over the campus.
The University of St.Gallen has issued several content pieces on LGBT+ topics (including career advice for LGBT+ people, an interview on the legal situation in Switzerland with Prof. Thomas Geiser and a report about the Unigay GetConnected).
